After Medical school, I moved to United Kingdom. I trained there in Internal medicine and Cardiovascular disease. I was fortunate to learn the art of medicine from the master clinicians in England.
I completed my Medical Internship and Residency at Uconn (University of Connecticut) followed by my cardiovascular disease, and Interventional cardiology training at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial, Florida.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear cardiology , Vascular imaging and interpretation and Interventional cardiology.
My Scope of practice includes diagnosis and management all the major aspects of cardiovascular disease.
1. Coronary artery disease: Including office-based stress testing, and hospital based coronary angiogram or heart catheterization. High risk and complex procedures for the heart including stent implant, implantation of pumps to support the heart during this procedure including balloon pump and the left and right sided Impella.
2. Heart failure: Diagnosis: Including office-based echocardiography and hospital-based implantation of automatic implantable defibrillators.
3. Arrhythmia: Diagnosis and management of arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular and supra ventricular tachycardia. Hospital based procedures such as loop recorder and pacemaker implantation.
4.Peripheral Vascular Disorder- Disease affecting the arteries of arms, legs and carotid arteries. Office based testing including vascular Doppler ultrasound for these arteries. Hospital based procedure such as peripheral angiogram, balloons, atherectomy procedures and stents.
